This Tribute is supporting The National Trust Snowdonia Appeal for the repair of footpaths.
Over the last 39 years being a Scout Leader and supervising many Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme expeditions, David has introduced a lot of young people to the mountains of Snowdonia that he loved. So it is appropriate to assist in the repair of the paths that they took pleasure wearing away!
The National Trust Snowdonia Appeal cares for footpaths across the 56,000 acres of the Snowdonia National Park that come under National Trust ownership and care. This includes paths to the summits of Snowdon, Tryfan and Cadair Idris. The footpath network needs constant maintenance and repair from high footfall and high rainfall. The three person footpath team is often found at high levels with pick and shovel and in all weathers. Thank you for your support, repair work would not take place without the kind generosity of donors.
