We had always known another side to our family existed. So, in 1996 after a conversation with a Great Uncle at another family members wedding, I asked the question that had been burning inside me for years, can I get in contact with my Grandfather? My Great Uncle replied yes but I think you should contact David first.

This took me a few days to pick up the courage to phone, In the end Bryan dialled the number and handed me the receiver, As of the minute I spoke to David it was as if we had always known each other, within 2 days we were sat in David and Jill's front room looking at family photo's and telling stories it was the most natural thing, we weren't strangers we were family.

David arranged a get together with Grandad that Sunday, we all met in Wombourne and I had the most wonderful day. From there David and Dad met and when Heather come home we had another get together. 

It was the best decision I made to go looking for the rest of my family and David Jill James and Chris became a huge part of my life our only regret was the lost years.....
